Ojet Records was founded in Houston, Texas in 1998. During the next five years, we released 13 records by 11 artists
from Houston, Chicago, Oakland and Japan. In 2003, after some of the bands on
the label dissolved, Ojet went on hiatus. We kept the site alive and mail order was functional, but we didn't release any new records.
In early 2010, we began the process of dusting off our releases and preparing them for digital shelves, and on the very last
Tuesday of that year, we released our first record in almost a decade, the debut
full-length from NYC's Bull Thieves.
Fortunately, we were only dormant and
never done, as the label has rebooted in full. We followed Bull Thieves with the seventh full-length
from New York City duo Elysian Fields last summer, and we've
got a bevy of singles and full-lengths planned for this year. Eventually, we'll even have
most of the catalog available
online.
